Artificial turf maintenance could be divided into two parts:
- Maintenance regularly carried out by site operator/owner. Such maintenance consists of works that do not require special equipment, such as the removal of weeds, leaves, needles, garbage removal, treatment of the artificial grass with brushes or ironing mat, control of lines and seams;
- Special care out carried by the specialists. It involves inspection of artificial turf infill, seams, lines, and equipment; to loosen and scavenge infill. To carry out these works special machinery is required.
